Sustainable
development

In June 2019, the 2008 Climate Act was strengthened, committing the UK to bring all greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2050. This is referred to as the UK net zero target.

At Aguettant Ltd we understand our future depends on the environment. We fully support the Net Zero strategies in place across the NHS. Here’s how we’re working to protect health through sustainability.

All our fleet vehicles are now hybrid or electric, we are aiming for a 100% electric fleet by 2027.
Installation of a modern thermostatically controlled heating system to minimise energy usage.
Moving office supplies to sustainable companies, we actively seek to purchase from B Corp who prioritise recyclable products.
We have upgraded all windows to triple-glazed to maintain stable office temperatures.
We work with 3PL partners, such as Mawdsleys, who join us in working towards Net Zero. Mawdsleys have made great strides in their progress towards this goal, with the installation of solar roofing at their Quest 90 depot. This is expected to generate up to 68% of the facility power requirements.

Target

For the future we are working towards our Net Zero target by:
1
Collaborating with partners who are working towards becoming carbon neutral.
2
Continuing to promote sustainable practices within our teams. Provide information on the environmental impacts of our activities and on mitigating measures and initiatives that can be taken to minimise these impacts. Conduct meetings remotely where possible or in locations that are easily accessible via public transport. Consider using sustainable brands and service providers.
3
Our ongoing mission is to send zero waste from our UK headquarters in Bristol to landfill. This is a significant but achievable challenge; we utilise various waste management services across our site and work with our employees to incorporate environmental considerations into their practices and decisions.
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans.

Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard 5 and uses the appropriate Government emission conversion factors for GHG company reporting.

Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported in accordance with SECR requirements, and the required subset of Scope 3 emissions have been reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard.
