We continue to develop our presence in the UK, backed by over 100
years of Pharmacy experience within Laboratoire Aguettant, a French family company. Laboratoire Aguettant
was set up in 1902 when Noel Aguettant, Chemist and Pharmacist,
attempted to perfect the first injectable solutions administered by
Charles-Gabriel Pravaz’s syringe and needle.
We work closely with all healthcare professionals,
particularly Pharmacists, Nurses and Clinicians, to develop the future
of Aguettant Limited.
Our strategy is to be a supplier of products and essential emergency injections that are easy to administer and improve the health of patients.
We are able to manage orders directly by fax, phone or email or via eCommerce through our GHX (Tecsol) link and from AAH’s Medicator system. Full ordering details are available through Contact Us.
Delivery is usually within 3 - 5 working days.
We understand our Customers need a timely, reliable and consistent supply of products. We manage our stock closely and retain stocks both in the UK and France to provide this reassurance.
Aguettant is in full agreement with the
very high importance users give to labelling medicines and devices.
Packaging and labelling that is clear, unambiguous and readable is a
major contribution to avoiding medication errors. Aguettant consults
with a broad spectrum of customers and users when developing labelling.
We work within the standards recommended by The Patient Safety Agency.
Aguettant manufactures its products in two sites around Lyon in the Rhône-Alpes region of France.
Aguettant presentations of Medicinal Products & Devices are packaged in a wide range of containers ranging from 1ml to 5 litres:
For more than 100 years, Aguettant has been concerned with enhancing the safety of injections. Projects are under investigation to present products ready for injection with the intention of increasing safety and saving time.
The Company's skill in plastics technology
has made it possible to develop new containers and administration
systems. Alternatives to Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC) containers are being
investigated to improve safety and minimise environmental concerns.
The
Aguettant team is constantly seeking ways to improve generic medicines
by making them more reliable, safer and easier to use. For example -
preservatives (sulphites) used to protect some medicines against
oxidation, in particular the catecholamines, have gradually been
eliminated, and the manufacturing formula and process adjusted. The
development of increasingly precise analytical methods makes it
possible to ensure a very high degree of purity by detecting and
quantifying traces of degradation products and impurities.
Aguettant has extensive experience and networks to provide exports of their high quality products. We have subsidiaries and Agents across Europe, Africa and Asia. World Health Organisation 'Certificates of a Pharmaceutical Product' can be provided for all products on request. Laboratoire Aguettant has expertise across a wide range of presentations to be able to contract manufacturer specialised products.
